Staff Sgt. Cerise D. Brown has dedicated 22 years of service to the United States Army, beginning her service in 1986 until she retired with an honorable discharge in 2007. She has served multiple tours of duty and received countless awards and accolades throughout her career. She ranked as an E06 Sergeant.

 

Her reputation was stellar as a soldier and as well as a leader. She was recognized for her service with the following distinctions awarded upon her:

After retirement, Sergeant Brown continued to dedicate her life to the United States Army as she worked as a civilian as a Human Resource Specialist.

Sergeant Brown was born and raised in New Jersey. She was educated in the Newark and Rahway Public Schools Systems. She began her military career in 1986 when she resided in Rahway, New Jersey. Throughout her career she traveled as part of her active duty until she retired in 2007.

 

Sergeant Brown loved serving in the military. She served in Desert Storm and suffered from PTSD and other mental health disorders as a result. She found solace, comfort and healing with her dog, Lemonjello. He was not just her support, he was her child. He went everywhere with her. He was apart of everything that she did. She shared her love and her betterment of having Lemonjello in her life with her military friends and family. Sergeant Brown always loved animals. She donated to the ASPCA and local animal shelters over the years.
