The Jovia Long Island Marathon Festival of Events
Hello!
My name is Connor Larson and I will be running the Jovia Long Island Marathon carrying the American Flag in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. My enthusiasm for helping veterans comes from my family history starting with my grandfather who served in the Korean War and my passion for showing appreciation for our American Heroes. K9s for Warriors has helped numerous veterans and their families overcome the mental and physical challenges after serving in the military.
I have previously ran with the American Flag for other veteran non-profits. Attached below are links from my interviews and efforts in helping the veteran community. All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.
