In Memory of SGT. Jonathan George Dervic
Dear Colleagues,
Many of you know our colleague, Misty Dervic, VP US TTS, Client Services, who has been part of our Randstad Sourceright family for 11 years. Misty’s husband, Sgt. Jonathan “Jon” George Dervic, was a dedicated soldier and veteran in the US Army. We are approaching the 1 year anniversary of Jon's passing. In an effort to support our colleague Misty and keep Jon’s memory alive for her, his family, and fellow soldiers, we would like to honor him by fundraising for them in support of K9s For Warriors. Jon and Misty's loving dog Harley was a comfort to Jon and one of his favorite companions. By providing other soldiers with a canine companion we are keeping Jon's memory front and center and honoring his legacy.
We ask that you support K9s For Warriors in Jon's memory. To read more about Jon’s life and the impact he had on his family and his country, please read this beautiful tribute written by Misty:

Jonathan George Dervic, loving husband, father and dedicated soldier. Jon was a dedicated soldier who fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was stationed in Kuwait and did many missions as a US Army Airborne Ranger. He served 18 years and we were both looking forward to finishing out the last two for retirement. Jon was always a soldier first and loved serving his country. He loved the Army so much he had three separate MOSs - Military Occupational Specialties. He stood for God, Country and Family. Don't think for one minute he didn't put his family as a priority. As a military wife I was fully aware of the oath he took to serve and protect our freedoms and I stood beside him the whole way. Jon had a purpose in this life to serve and protect, he did that for his country and our family fiercely with no regrets.
Jon loved adventure and was an adrenaline junkie. He loved fast trucks, cars and motorcycles. If it wasn't fast enough he would work on it himself to make it faster. He was a very skilled mechanic. Jon could basically do anything. Many features in our home are upgraded due to his workmanship. He prided himself in the work and was a perfectionist to a fault. If you are not going to do it right then why bother he would say. He loved his Harley Davidson. We went to many Harley Davidson rallies, charity rides and went to Sturgis twice. Jon and I rode the dragon tail in TN which is one of the most dangerous stretches of road in the US. With Jon life was fun, fast and full of adventure. We swam off the coast of Mexico with whale sharks. I would have never done that had it not been for Jon. He was fearless and took on anything or anyone head on. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back but would never let anyone take advantage of his kindness, his family or friends. We traveled the world together, had so many adventures, and had so much more planned. These days our country seems to be more divisive than ever. Jon believed in our country. He believed our country is the greatest country on earth and that our freedoms are worth fighting for. He honored those who served before him, those that served alongside him and encouraged those who were coming up. Jon impacted so many lives by the way he lived everyday with honor, love and kindness with a little bit of Take No BS.
As a US Army Airborne Ranger their motto is Lead the Way. Jon did that everyday and continues to lead the way for his family. I may have lost him physically here on earth but he is in Heaven as one of God's soldiers now, leading the way for those who love Jon and he will forever protect his family from above.
I deeply appreciate you honoring my husband but also every service member. Although those who serve volunteer and sign up for the dangers they encounter, it takes a special person to shoulder the weight of the commitment and sacrifice that comes with it.

Ranger Creed
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite Soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other Soldier. Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained Soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
