In March of 2020, the only person that ever called me "Momma" (Elvis Aron Presley) unexpectedly passed away. He was an AWESOME example of what it means to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Aron was a Veteran, proud to serve his country. At the time of his passing, he was working toward his Master's Degree to specialize in helping Veterans struggling with PTSD. That was his passion.

Through one of my son's fellow Veterans, I learned of an organization that has the same mission as he did - to help Veterans that are struggling with PTSD (& Traumatic Brain Injury). That organization is K9s For Warriors.

Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.

Please join us as a September Soldier to raise donations (and awareness) in combatting Veteran suicide. This fundraiser will be in memory of Aron and his passion for helping others. We will be having an online portion of the fundraiser through the end of September - please consider making your most generous possible donation.
