Craig David Cassin, passed away December 4, 2022, after a brief illness. He is survived by his companion Sharon Lawson, his dad, Fred W. Cassin, brother Ken Cassin, sister Carolyn Cassin (Mark) Blair, nephew Declan Blair and niece Nina Blair, along with his many friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Sheila Cassin.

Craig loved the outdoors and made regular trips to the camp and fish, especially to the Adirondacks. and the 1000 Islands. Craig began his love for outdoor adventure in scouting (Fairport troop 207). He shared this love with his nephew and niece.

Known affectionately as “Craiger”, he leaves behind a legacy of bringing people together through his humor, kindness and generosity. He made East Rochester his home several years after graduating from Fairport High School (class of 1981) and created a family of friends as a long-time bartender at "Steve's Tavern". He leaves a big gap in the lives of all who knew him; Craig always had your back and embraced life his own way.

In lieu of Services, Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life in his honor at Prince GeorgesTavern,104 Main Street, East Rochester at 3 PM on Saturday, December 17. Bring your stories.

Craig was a lover of dogs and an avid supporter of Military Veterans. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name would be welcome at K9’s for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road, Ponte Vedra, FL,32081; or a charity of your choice.
