Fundraiser for K9s For Warriors

Karina's Fundraiser

Hi! My name is Karina Castillo and I am a sophomore at Creekside High School in St. Johns Florida.

This year I have been selected as a Student Leader at K9s For Warriors. This program is an opportunity for high school students to learn about leadership, volunteer, raise funds, and other professional skills, while helping K9s For Warriors’ mission of saving both dogs and military veterans who have experienced trauma.

K9s For Warriors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is the nation’s largest provider of Service Dogs for veterans. It was founded and is based in Ponte Vedra, FL where I currently live.

Student leaders have many goals this year, one of which is to raise $2,000. In order to achieve this goal I have hosted a restaurant night where a percentage of profits were donated to my cause, sold items from the K9s store (which you can access at https://shop.k9sforwarriors.org), and donated raffle items. I am now asking friends, family, and military supporters to help me, help K9s For Warriors meet their mission.  I’m writing to ask you to be a part of that. A donation of any amount continues to make it possible to end veteran suicide by providing highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. Just click the donate button to make a difference in minutes.

Your support will help give a new “leash” on life to Warriors and rescue dogs. Thank you so much!
