Fundraiser for K9s For Warriors

In Memory of Art Hayden

Art had the honor of not only sponsoring a struggling warrior but attending their graduation service. His esteem for this cause was palpable and he was so proud to be a small part of it. On many occasions he spoke about K9s For Warriors and the care, intention, and reverence that it has for its mission.

He was an incredible man of character, a devoted husband and father, and a true patriot. A long time resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, he always looked for ways to strengthen his community and country. He admired this organization for the research it is founded on, the service it provides, and the dignity bestowed to all involved.

His loss is felt by all who knew him and his legacy is one of loyalty, selfless service, and having a good time above all else. As we look back at his legacy we, the family, have encouraged friends and family to consider making a donation to K9s For Warriors in lieu of sending flowers. Art was a generous man and if he were with us still, we believe he would have continued to support K9s for Warriors' growth.

In the coming days, as we travel through our own grief, we hope that any donations made in his name continue to carry on his legacy. Your support to this cause is so worthy, and your impact lives in the lives of others; I know it did in him. Thank you for all that you give, it makes such an important difference.

Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.
