Each month Clay+Cause LLC works to fundraise for a different cause throught the sale of handmade polymer clay earrings! You can see our full inventory at clayandcause.com or you can make a direct donation on this page! This month, to honor our veterans, we have choose to fundraise for K9s for Warriors. Memorial Day falls at the end of May and its an important reminder of the sacrifice so many individuals and their families have made. With this months cause I hope to raise awareness of the true challenges survivors are faced with because of their sacrifices.
I come from a military family and spent my first few months on Fort Bragg where my father served his last year in the Army as a chinook pilot. As a West Point graduate, K9s for Warriors was an obvious choice for he and my mom to suggest to me! I am so proud to be fundraising for this organization and hope that you will consider donating to them as well.
Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.
